Job Description: 
This position will work as a liaison between Information Technology team members and other business entities to plan, execute and track aspects of system testing within Gaylord's Information Technology organization. Manages the test artifacts portfolio that includes the creation, maintenance and organization of test plans and test cases. The primary role is to support the test lifecycle for systems. Supports the implementation of ongoing quality improvement processes through the Process Improvement Program (PIP) and Root Cause Analysis Management Program (RCA) by working with interdepartmental teams.

  • Serves as primary point of contact for all projects that involve testing to work with project managers to develop project schedules and resource allocation models for QM related projects and other QM related activities.

  • Develop and manage Root Cause Analysis Management process (RCA), to leverage key metrics for performance improvement of interdepartmental IT teams.

  • Facilitates the Process Improvement Program (PIP) initiatives by bringing together IT STARS of different disciplines and driving the groups to plan, formulate and agree on comprehensive quality procedures.

  • Acts as primary liaison between project managers, system analysts, business analysts and business stakeholders to support the creation of project requirements, test plans and test cases, including supporting the execution and tracking of all testing initiatives.

  • Contributes to Gaylord's Quality Management group to develop and maintain the QM Framework, which includes, but is not limited to the following; defining testing standards, processes and documentation to enhance testing policies and procedures, and mapping the overall roadmap to cultivate the QM methodology.

  • Collaborates in recommending QM strategies and process improvement initiatives to improve proficiency and business performance. When needed, consults, supports or leads quality initiatives through a "Risk-based testing" approach for projects within existing Gaylord systems.

  • Advocates the QM principles and standards through the creation and maintenance of the QM training documents and templates.

  • Establishes and maintains a positive working relationship with all departments, levels of management within the company and specifically STARS within Gaylord's Information Technology organization.

  • Researches the industry and maintains awareness of testing processes and procedures. Uses knowledge to suggest strategies and improvements to support Gaylords differentiation and competitive edge.
