Job Responsibilities: Navigational duties include teaching and performing tying and untying boats, mooring lines, navigational lookout, special landing procedures, and maintenance and navigational equipment. Capable of checking and adjusting lines due to changes in the river level without supervision. Emergency Brigade duties include teaching and performing as a primary member of the emergency brigade, which includes specific trained duties with fire collision, man overboard, abandon ship and paramedic assistance. Training includes U.S. Coast Guard approved, fire, CPR and First Aid classes. Serve as bow watch during cruising, advising Captain of debris and hazards in the water. Safety duties include assigned specific and general safety responsibilities including enforcing and being an example of safety rules. Take tickets of boarding passengers. Control boarding and off loading, handicap assistance, and general guest relations. Perform banquet set-ups. Perform general maintenance on furniture, safety equipment, and navigational equipment. General cleaning of facilities and equipment. Perform other duties as assigned.
